Examination regulations

The study and examination regulations of the KIT's Master's degree course in "regional science/spatial planning" have been decreed by the vice chancellor of the University of Karlsruhe on 8 August 2005 and entered into force upon their publication in the university's official notes on 12 October 2005. Copies of the current study and examination regulations are available in the IfR's secretary.

The previous study and examination regulations for the Master's degree course in Regional Science/Spatial Planning of 30 July 2003 expired on 1 October 2005. They remain in force for students who have begun their Master studies at the IfR on the basis of these examinations regulations unless they opt for the current examination regulations by means of a written request to the IfR's examinaton committee.

Transitional periods and change of examination regulations

On 16 June 2007, the period defining the transitional validity of the old examinations regulations of 12 February 1991 expired. Since then, students who begun their studies under this regulation have been obliged to submit a written request to the IfR's examination committee for being examined under the current examination regulations of the Master's degree course in Regional Science/Spatial Planning of 12 October 2005. Upon taking effect of the current study and examination regulations on 12 October 2005, also the two study regulations previously in force expired.
