corner – our knowledge transfer infrastructure
corner brings science to you! Right in the heart of the city—to citizens who are curious and want to join in the conversation and research.
Our goal: to engage in conversation about topics related to the city and society, to ask questions and provide answers.
To this end, we bring scientific research projects to you in the form of exhibitions, discussion panels, hands-on activities, and a wealth of information that serves as the basis for an exchange on equal terms. We believe that science cannot exist without you! That is why we conduct research together and ask what our shared future in the city might look like.
corner will be presented and opened for the first time during KIT Science Week as part of the Karlsruhe City Festival. From October 10 to November 15, corner will be located at Kronenplatz and can be visited by all Karlsruhe citizens. The supporting programme “How do we live? Now / in the future / together / in the city” will feature an exhibition on the EU research project “PREFIGURE,” the video installation “WE DON'T HAVE CHERRIES,” as well as hands-on activities, lectures, and other programme items. Citizens can also drop by “corner” at any time and visualize their wishes for future living in the city through creative hands-on activities on site.
Opening hours corner at Kronenplatz, Karlsruhe:
10 to 19 October: daily from 1:30 pm – 5:30 pm
21 October to 15 November: Tue–Sat, 1.00 pm– 5.00 pm
