The field of research ‘transformation of environment and resources’ studies the increasingly intensive use of resources, its effects of on natural landscapes, its social causes and consequences, especially its impacts on environment and society in different temporal and spatial contexts. This includes
- the analysis of impacts of transformation processes on natural landscapes (climate, water, soils, etc.) on regional development and planning methods to control them,
- the analysis of anthropogenic influence on regional environement and natural resources,
- the systemic analysis of interactions between natural resources and anthropogenic systems.
